Shepherd Care
Monthly Visits to Homebound Members
What is Shepherd Care?
Shepherd Care is a compassion ministry that extends the love and compassion of Christ to church members who are homebound, in assisted living or nursing facilities, or unable to attend worship regularly. It pairs caring volunteers ("Shepherds") with individuals or couples for ongoing personal connection and spiritual support. Through consistent presence and shared life, we remind our church family that they are valued, remembered, and never alone in their journey.
What We Do
Each Shepherd is assigned one or two people to visit at least monthly, offering listening ears, prayer, encouragement, and shared activities like devotions, meals, cards, or communion. We provide training for all volunteers and require a brief interview with the Pastor of Ministries to ensure a great fit.
